Vincent Miller celebrated his 99th birthday on February 7. Vince received his degree in chemical engineering and served in the Navy during WWII, rising from ensign to lieutenant, senior grade. He designed and sold water treatment systems for everything from pharmaceutical factories to power plants. He started the Vincent J. Miller Co. in 1950, sold the company in 1987, and has been retired for the last 32 years. He has been a photographer for 70 years and is well-known for his stunning pictures of the Strathmore neighborhood in Syracuse, N.Y. Many thanks to Ed Golash ’69, who sent news about his neighbor, Vincent Miller.
