Washington State University Tri-Cities Clinical Assistant Professor of Fine Art Sena Clara Creston presented her piece titled “Willow of the Waste” at a recent WSU faculty and staff exhibit on campus. The piece is an electronic interactive art piece that conveys a statement about the environmental impact of plastic. Posted 2021-02-26

Architecture Congratulations to Leora Radetsky, who recently joined the staff of the DesignLights Consortium as a senior lighting scientist. Previously, she worked as a research scientist for Rensselaer’s Lighting Research Center. Posted 2020-05-21
Engineering Jason Griffith is currently serving as the mission event sequencing lead for the Artemis I mission, which is part of NASA’s effort to return astronauts to the moon by the year 2024. He earned his B.S. in aerospace engineering from RPI in 2012 and went on to complete an M.E. in space operations from the University of Colorado in 2016. Posted 2020-05-21
Science A graduate of the joint RPI/Albany Medical College B.S./M.D. program, Jay Agarwal, M.D., recently joined the roster of ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP, in Hackensack, N.J. Posted 2020-05-21
Engineering After eight years in the Navy, including time serving as a nuclear operator on the USS Alaska, Jason Nattress headed to RPI and earned his B.S. in nuclear engineering as part of the Class of 2012. Alex Papageorgis was recently named by Ethic Inc., a tech-driven asset management platform for wealth advisers and institutional investors, as the company's new head of quantitative investments. Alex, who joins Ethic from Goldman Sachs, most recently serving as a vice president with the firm, graduated from Rensselaer with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics. Posted 2019-10-01

Michele Bustamante recently won a one-year Congressional Science and Engineering Fellowship. Her work as a postdoc for the MIT Materials Systems Laboratory involves the creation of models of supply and demand important to high-tech industries.  Posted 2019-03-10
Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Combining her passion for both the environment and golf, Delphine Tseng recently made a presentation about the British Open for Golf Channel International. A major at Rensselaer in sustainability studies, Tseng helped explain to viewers how the Carnoustie golf course in Scotland earned a certification from the Golf Environmental Association for helping to create habitats for animals such as rabbits and deer.
